I’ve always kept my eye out for Wranglers but the challenge is that they hold their value really well and people want them.  So when a decent one, at a good price, comes up for sale they don’t tend to last long.

I found this little fella up in Madison, WI and went up and snagged it just after the New Year for $2,500.  It ran and drove really well but has a few things that need to be sorted out.  The front fenders are rusty, windshield wipers don’t work, windshield is cracked and the Warn tire carrier is seized in place. These are all pretty low ticket items so barring any unforseen issues it’s on track to have been a good buy.

5 Month Update:

Well, after 5 months of ownership I sold it, for $6,250.  I had invested about $3,200 into it total.

You can read through the blog posts to see all that I had done to it over those 5 months; really more like the last two months because this past winter was cold!

I definitely put quite a few hours into the Jeep but it was worth it and quite a bit of fun to work on and drive around.

Deal done, onto the next one.
